Vision and Legacy

Introducing the Special Tactics School Heritage Center

From Army Pathfinders to the Air Force Special Operations Command, each generation of Combat Controllers
have created a legacy paving the way for today’s Special Tactics Airmen leading the way for tomorrow’s Warriors.

As a North Carolina 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization, our mission is to support Special Tactics training by documenting and preserving the history, heritage, and legacy of USAF Combat Control Teams

The Special Tactics School and Heritage Center works in concert with staff and instructors to acquire, refurbish, exhibit and maintain artifacts accessioned by the CMSgt Benini Heritage Center.

The CMSgt Alcide S. Benini Special Tactics School Heritage Center is dedicated to the legacy created by CMSgt Benini, and displays the lineage, equipment, and artifacts used by Combat Control Teams.

The Special Tactics School Heritage Center displays and exhibits the unique history of Combat Control Teams and provides today’s students with a historical link to the Special Tactics legacy.
